Itchy pimple-like bumps on my genitals

First off, thanks for taking the time to read this and potentially offer me some insight as to what this may or may not be.

I woke up early this morning with a very itchy scrotum. While I was scratching, I felt some sort of bump down there. When I went into the bathroom and had a closer look, I noticed several more bumps, although they were not itching, but felt sensitive.

I've counted 4 or 5, the most prominent one plainly visible on the shaft of my penis. It is a slightly raised bump, light red, less than half a millimeter in diameter, and I can vaguely make out a whitehead underneath it, much like a small pimple. There are two more much smaller ones underneath and further up the shaft. And one or possibly two close together on my scrotum, which is what I had been scratching. Aside from the itch and redness, they aren't really what I could call swollen. They don't hurt at all.

The last time I had sex was a little over a month ago. We did not use protection and are both clean (or so we hope!). Hopefully this is just coincidental but she did tell me her vagina felt very painful just yesterday, and described it as a pinching sort of sensation.

Aside from the itch and slight redness coming from them I've felt perfectly fine otherwise. Any clue as to what this is? Or what it isn't, if just to relieve some of my anxiety? Any chance it could have been some pest in my bed that just felt like crawling up my boxers for a midnight snack? I had a brush with Molluscum about a year and a half ago (which I successfully treated with acid) but I don't think that's what this is, as the bumps don't seem quite the same.

Could be a whole assortment of things, many times not std related. A cery common ailment is inflamed hair follicles, do you shave at all down there?  Do you constantly scratch area?

Because bumps are caused by many things (most are not std related) you should just consult a doctor on this.  It can be fungal or it could be an irritation to something.  But the only way to find out is for you to go to a doctor to be seen.

"less than half a millimeter in diameter"

Meant to say less than half a centimeter, not millimeter, sorry! The larger one is about 3mm in diameter to be more precise though, with the smaller two about 1 mm.
