Oral Sex and STD risk

Greetings!

I am a male 23 years old. 1 month ago, I receive an unprotected bj from an escort. I did not have any discharge symptoms or sores in my penis for the duration of the month. Do i need any testing for stds? or should i be confident that i didnot acquire any of it and just move on with my life? Thanks

Hello everyone, based on what i have read here and at the doctors forum, syphilis is very very rare chance to acquire through oral sex. does this mean you dont recommend testing without symptoms such as lesions? thanks

I have read some posts from the Doctors forum wherein according to them that in the absence of symptoms, they do not recommend testing with regards to my exposure. I would like to have your opinion regarding that. and with my exposure, how long before the gonorrhea and chlamydia symptoms occurs with my exposure? THanks

you really should cover your bases with chlamydia and gonorrhea testing.

the risk of a std from oral sex is overall low but not no risk. always have protected oral sex - both giving and receiving!  Any professional who allows unprotected oral isn't taking precautions to protect herself or her clients :(
