Without symptoms for 13 weeks, you are fine.  It would have shown up now.  Do not worry.

No i have'nt had any symptoms of any kind. However I'm from Trinidad and we dont have any Urine test done to check for Chlamydia. An IgA and  IgG are done. I went to do the IgA test and the results I would get back next week. I do hope i dont have it.

The reason I challenge that assertion is because the only things being considered is typically gono and herpes.  But, as I've said before, when you include NGU into the mix, I believe that number would increase quite a bit. One could argue NGU is not an STD/ STI, but it is caused by oral sex, that could be from normal flora of the mouth or infectious microbes.  Either way, I see this as something that is transmitted orally, and requiers treatement, therefore we cannot over look this.  Many many men have issues with urethritis and therefore I don't believe it can be excluded from consideration when discussing STD's/ STI's passed on through oral sex.

I do agree that it's lower risk than anal or vaginal, but not 'minimal' to no risk as others have stated.

Facts are facts that STD's are not passed often via oral sex when compared to vaginal or anal sex. For several reasons. This is not just based on the Dr's on this site but from many Dr's.

I disagree with Vance.  It's a general statement that is made too often on this forum, that there is little risk from oral.  However, you did not say anything about symptoms, so I'll assume that you have none, and after 13 weeks without symptoms, you're fine.

In addition, Chlamydia is not likely or easily transmitted through oral sex.  You should restest with a urine sample if it will put your mind at ease though.

Hi,

I did a blood sample test , the first result they ssaid was negative then when the tested again it was postive. The result was IgG 2.1 positive. I'm a bit worried. Then i read the correct test is to use a urine sample. I was by the lab earlier on this morning and have to check back for the results for the urine test. I had unprotected oral sex 13 weeks ago and tested negative for hiv, still worried . Dont know what to do again.

What could you tell me ?

How did you get a negative and then a positive? Normally you get 1 test done.
