Not sure if i have a std?

Hi,

12 days ago, i was stupid enough to have unprotected oral sex with a prostitute. 6 days later, i noticed a small black sore on the shaft of my penis. I went to see a doctor and he gave me a single dose of Z-pack and 2 weeks worth of doxycycline. I then took blood and urine tests 10 days after the day i had oral sex. I am still waiting for the results. After 4 days of doxycycline, i noticed having diarrhea often and my urine was getting a little bit cloudy.

Right now, the little black sore on my penis is getting a little bigger so I went to another doctor and he said that this was probable herpes (because there were also very small red papules beside the black sore). He let me stop using doxycycline and gave me valtrex instead. In addition to the sore, i also feel like i need to urinate often and sometimes i feel that my urine is just on the tip of my penis. Although i dont feel any burning sensation when i urinate and i dont have any discharge, im scared of what this might be.

Is the black sore really herpes? And what else could i have if i feel the need to urinate often and often feel it on the tip of my penis? thanks

Anxiety can be a mean mother, man. It can plague us with phantoms and illusions of our own self destruction. The mind is indeed a powerful instrument and we are only using 10% of it. Limit yourself in self observation and see if that will help before you get checked out.

This is indeed a conflict of perspectives here. One doctor says syphilis and the other says HSV. We cannot help you via online here in this forum. We are people who give advice and opinions about what should be done. We cannot diagnose online cause we are not physicians ourselves but you may pay a fee to have our medical experts post their say for this situation. Unprotected oral is a low risk but a not a no risk chance. If it was syphilis, it would be a huge chancre. If it was herpes, the small red pustules may be an indicator but it can be something else. The second doctor who saw you said it was "probable." It wouldn't mean it is though. You say it doesn't burn when you urinate and there is no discharge? It could be something else other than STDS. You may need a third opinion then. But, this is what I am saying. This does not mean I am giving you an answer here. Get it checked out and I hope the best for you, man.

In addition to that, the black sore is dry and it doesnt hurt. Although it started getting itchy when it was getting dryer. The first doctor told me that it might be syphilis thats why he gave me the doxycycline but the second doctor i went to said it was herpes so he changed the medicine to valtrex. help pls!!!
