Painful Sex

I've been with my partner for 3 years and in the past couple of years sex has become more and more painful. I didn't have this issue when we first began having sex. Its got to the point where I'm really just not enjoying sex anymore because of the pain.

I've considered that maybe I have some kind of STD but I show no other symptoms apart from pain during sex.

Any ideas?

I was definitely hoping that more people had this problem.

I've been having regular sex for the past 3 years, and it's always been at least somewhat painful.  I often go through long phases where it's more painful than other times.  It's mostly painful around the opening.  Most of the times I have sex, pleasure is greater than the pain i feel for the first 10 minutes or so.   Then after a while it becomes more painful than enjoyable.  The best way to describe it would be a burning sensation. Doctors awlays tell me to use lube, but that just makes it burn WAY more. I also can't have sex more than once a day, and usually not even two days in a row.  It definitely sucks for me as well as the boyfriends I've had.  One doctor gave me a cream called Premarin, it's for women going through menopasue. It's supposed to strengthen the skin around the vulva as well as increase natural lubrication.

ANYONE ELSE OUT THERE EXPERIENCING PAINFUL SEX??
