Penile Yeast Infection help

Hi.
About three weeks ago i started feeling a burning sensation after urination and then the tip of my penis started to swell a bit its not really that itchy just very discomforting when anything touches it including clothes. I have visited a doctor yesterday and i found out that i had a Yeast infection after he ruled out any chance of UTI he gave me a cream called Nyaderm (Nystatis) to be applied 4 times a day. Just a few questions firstly, Is Nyaderm sufficient to work by itself? Secondly is it common with yeast infeciton to have pain after ejaculating for 10-12 hours maybe more? Lastly I am suppose to apply it 4 times a day for 7 days a week which means six hours apart each application but as soon as i spply it and put my clothes back on it seems like everything is just rubbing off on the clothes is this normal i mean is this how this medicine has been tested? I just don't want to use it incorrectly and find out later that i did. Thank you to all who answer i appreciate your help

Take care

Only if symptoms persist do you need to follow up with your doctor, unless your doctor has requested a follow up.

Hi and thank you.

Yes finally on the third day the pain is all gone i don't want to speak to soon but what I think I realised is that even though the the tip was swollen the actual infection seemed to be just underneath  that it seemed like it was swelling up a bit and collecting. I put it there from yesterday onwards and found there to be no more pain and the swelling and sensitivity to be greatly reduced almost instantly. Now all i hope is that it stays like this while I complete the full course of Nyaderm.  Just a question if all symptoms/swelling/pain disapear after the 7th day of treatment should i still go to a doctor to check it up or only if symptoms persist?

Thank you Miss Jessi.

Is the pain any better?

And just apply what you can.  That does seem like a lot just on the head of your penis.

I'm sorry you are hurting.  Are you getting any relief at all?

Yes i did mention that to him what he said is that to do this for  a week and then if this isn't gone we will take a urologists appointment and i should ask him that question i think it was just bruising though just wanted to make sure. One other thing it says to finish 100g in 7 days thats almost half a tube a day which is quite a lot to put just around the head of my penis. I do apply on a thick layer but i don't rub it in too much because it hurts.

Hi there -

First, that is an appropriate treatment for yeast, and you can expect some to rub off on your underwear, but if its still in the region on the underwear, some will get back on your penis.  Make sure you are rubbing it in well.

Yeast probably wouldn't cause pain after ejaculation.  Did your doctor address that part?
