Penile Yeast infection

I'm pretty sure that I have a penile yeast infection.  I had unprotected sexual contact with my girlfriend who had/has a yeast infection and my symptoms are dry skin on penis, rash in a few spots, and a little discomfort.  Also is male yeast infection totally external on the penis or does it cause problems elsewhere in the body? thanks

any treatment I can do without seeing a doctor (no health insurance).

I've had a penile yeast infection for 3 weeks now (minor redness on balls and under penis head, no itching, some tiny blisters).  My girlfriends yeast infection is gone but mine won't go away...Even with using athletes foot/jock itch cream.  What else can i do?? And can i give her another yeast infection if we have sex?

Update: I saw a pharmascist and she said and she said I could use the same type of cream that you use for athelete's foot or jock itch.  I'm giving that a try.
