Penis Infection

I had unprotected oral sex with a sex worker. (I received a fellatio). Two days after I started to feel a strong bad odor. My penis smelled really bad. Two days after that it stopped. Next week, I started to see some red dots on my penis... no pain or lesions. I was really ashamed of what I did and I went to the doctor almost 3 months later. He told me it was a yeast infection and prescripted me a cream. Almost 3 weeks with treatment and they arent cured. Is this really a yeast infection or it can be something else?

Symptoms: red dots, red and white spots, some testicular inflamation and a little pain (sometimes, not always).

60 days would be a great indicator. if you took one at 60 days and it was negative I think you can feel safe with that. again you didn't have a risk, and those on the HIV forum wouldn't be as friendly... oral is not a risk at all but you can trust the results at 60 days

Thank you so much, I know this isn't an HIV forum but, as far as you know... if I got an 60 day HIV test and went negative... should I take one now that the 12 weeks has passed? Thank you so much for your help.

TRUST ME you CANT get HIV from oral sex, visit the HIV forum and read some post or post in our expert forum, they study this for a living... You can test at 3 months for both of those if they are really a concern and you can't let it go.

Sorry I don't know of any and that isn't the type of info we would provide but there is also an anxiety forum on this page.

you can also speak to your doctor about your anxiety and OCD about the situation.

You had such a low risk it isn't something for you to kill your self over.

Do you know any medication for anxiety? The anxiety of contracting HIV or herpes is killing me. I'm about to start a new relationship with my ex-girlfriend, I spent 2 years trying to get her back and I don't want to lose her... I love her so much... I want to finish my medical career, and the idea of having any of these two is killing me...

Oral sex is not a risk at all for HIV so you can leave that behind you!! =) I understand it is difficult to have something abnormal happen to you and you freak out but Oral is a low risk exposure period so you should try to relax. PLUS most if not all sex workers get monthly testing. Just follow up with your doctor, you may want to consider a dermatologist as it could be something else, a different type of bacteria.

well your first post doesn't ask that at all, "Is this really a yeast infection or it can be something else?" Which is the reason for my response...

Yeast infections can be difficult to treat, I'm not sure so much in men but I do know that yeast infections in general can be resistant to medications, you should revisit your doctor and he/she may prescribe  you something else/better.

All my symptoms leads to a yeast infection. I'm looking for someone that tells me how long it takes to cure and if I should get another medication.

Oral is a low risk for gonorreha,NGU, HSV and syphilis. if you are concerned of an std then just get tested. Follow up with your doctor regarding your issue there is no way to tell you what you have going on, sorry.
