Penis Pain (Burning)

I too have been dealing with this since my teens. I have found that it seems to be related to urination. When it happens I will drink 2 - 3 glasses of water which in return makes me urinate which makes the pain go away. I thought for a long time that it might be caused by me not having enough fluids in my body before sex (6-8 glasses of water a day).
Normally if I am drinking enough fluids throughout the day before sex and I drink some water, literally, right before sex I will urinate after sex and I'm fine. It's when my body feels like it should urinate but can't that it hurts.

This discussion is related to Periodic tip of penis pain after ejaculation, burning.

This can be caused by drinking took much pop/soda or dehydration... The urine will crystallize and cause pain/ itching... I had this happen and took a **** test for chlamydia which we neg but the nurse practitioner said it was most likely caused by the crystallization of the urine... Happened when I nutted also... Drink more water and less sodas and decrease ur sodium intake

Should have?

Water flushes things out, so its actually normal to urinate more than you would normally if all you usually drink is pop.

Today was the first time it happened to me, for me I usually drink a lot of pop throught-out the day, but today I drank water all day then drank two pops right before masturbating and after the burning kicked in . I don't know about other people but even though I had urinated before masturbating I still urinated much more than I should have.

You are right - a lack of fluids can contribute to a lot of the problems you describe.

If your doc has checked you out, and you don't have any infection, etc., then stay with the water.
