Grace:
I have been looking for info on this topic. I have seen posts suggesting it takes about 2-3 days. Where were you able to find this time frame?
Would you assume that if someone is "contagious" at 24 hours that it would be detected in the urine tests that are supposed to be pretty sensitive?
I would think that in order to be contagious you would have to have enough of the bacteria to be picked up in a urine test.
Any input would be appreciated.
it's contagious within 24 hours of being infected.
bottom line is everyone involved in this question needs proper chlamydia testing 1 week after the last time they had sex to see who has what.

I shall add that local doctor said it is contagious after 3 to 4 days from exposure. I'd like to know if this is a shared view and to some extent proven by data.
Thank you again.
