Pink discharge & bad smell

I really need help! About a week after my period, I got some water-like discharge that is a really light pink tint. Now, two weeks after my period, a strong and almost rotten smell has been eminating from my vagina. I can't stand it, have no idea what it is, and feel as though people may notice the horrible smell but won't mention it. Also, right after I urinate it sometimes smells really strongly of amonia. It reminds me of the smell of cat pee. When I went to the OBGYN last week, I told him about the discharge (the only symptom at the time) and he sort of avoided it and acted like it was nothing. I have searched online and think it could be Bacterial Vaginosis. Also, several people who have the same symptoms say boric acid really works in getting rid of this issue. Could this be an std? If anyone has any idea what I can do, please help!

Its really not sounding like an std now, but I'm glad you are calling your doctor.

Shouldn't walk around like what?

And pap smears don't test for stds - they only look for abnormal cells on the cervix.

It sounds more like bv than an std, but your doctor needed to do some testing.  Its a shame he didn't.

You should follow up with your doctor again now that symptoms have increased.

Boric acid can work, but since you aren't sure what you have, you should get tested first.
