Please Help! Worried about Gonorrhea/Chlamydia

Hi, I will try to make this simple, on April 24, 2012 I performed unprotected oral sex to a guy and he ejaculated in my mouth but i spitted it out right away and rinsed my mouth. I have a boyfriend which I have unprotected sex with. In the beginning of May I experinced some usual vaginal discharge and itchiness and I went to the doctor and I was told I had Bacterial Vaginosis and was given Metrogel 0.75% and so i took the full course and felt better but not fully, I then started thinking what if it was an STD because I started thinking if i contracted for example gonorrhea in my throat and then passed it to my boyfriend and he passed it to me vaginally so i freaked out and went to get an STD check a week after my metrogel treatment and everything came back negative! but i have two questions:
1) Could the metrogel i took for bv have cause a false negative result for gonorrhea and chlamydia?
2) My pap smear was normal but it did mention i had cellular changes associated with inflammation, could that be the gonorrhea or chlamydia but if it was then why would the results be negative or was the BV that wasnt fully gone, please someone help me out!!!!

My results were negative!!!  So now  I need to be checked for bv. That's the only thing I can think that is causing the yellowish/whitish discharge

yes, receiving oral sex is a known cause of bv.

Thank you grace, your help is appreciated. You have helped lower my anxiety. I'm hoping it will be negative because if I tested negative in May then I'm hoping to get the same results. Have you heard of getting bv through oral sex? Because I never had this problem until I had that encounter which I regret but you only learn by your mistakes.

also fyi - not unusual to get white chunky discharge when treating for bv too. it's dead bacteria coming out of the body and usually goes away in a few days. you should've continued your full course of antibiotics.

no, you don't always have an odor with bv.

wait for your test results and go from there.

no, having taken the medication you did 2 weeks before testing won't affect testing for chlamydia and gonorrhea.

I forgot to mention since day one i never noticed a foul smell, pain while urine, but i did have some itchiness but not a lot like you get when you have a yeast infection. When you get BV do you always have the foul fishy odor as everyone else claims?

Thank you grace, I was hoping you would respond too, Vance has been a great help. When i went to get the pap I didnt know I still had the bv, I thought it was cure but I went to another clinic and was told I had bv so they gave me metronidazole but in pills form but i didnt finish it because i developed a yeast infection right away, my concern is still gonorrhea because since August and until now I have noticed a light yellowish discharge and sometimes like a milky white discharge (sorry for the details) but its not an everyday thing, i mainly notice it when im about to get my period so yesterday i went to get tested for gonorrhea and clamydia, so im waiting on the results
Question:
1)If i took fluconadazole two weeks ago would that affect the results that i will be getting for gonorrhea or chlamydia?
2)i went to my local health clinic so she didnt test me for bv but when she took a sawp she checked it under the microscope and said my discharge looked normal, then i dont explain why the yellow discharge, so im anxious to find out my results, so if its not gonorrhea or chlamydia, which im hoping do you think its the bv again??
I really appreciate your help, thanks, it means a lot to me!

inflammation can be caused by the bv you had. you should never get a pap test done when you have an infection going on.

whether you swallow or spit, has nothing to do with std risk either. it's the sex act itself that causes infection, not ingesting semen or not.   you didn't lower your risk by spitting and rinsing soon after.  oral sex is less of a risk because of the protective properties of saliva .

you've tested negative for gonorrhea so no reason to think you gave it to your partner and he gave it back to you genitally.  if you have continuing genital symptoms, be seen again because it's not unusual for bv to come back again repeatedly as well as sometimes the metrogel over corrects the vaginal ph and causes yeast over growth too.

what symptoms would bf have? and to you happen to know why oral sex is less of a risk as when you have unprotected sex?

No, nothing is really going to cause a false negative. Yes it is true with oral sex.

Thank you Vance2335, I have a couple more questions, I have read on here that bv can cause false positive results for gonorrhea or chlamydia, what about it causing false negative? and i heard oral sex is rare to get an STD let alone HIV, is that true?

1) Probably not
2) Probably not

If bf had either and gonorrhea would be more likely, chances are he would have had symptoms.
BV is tricky, as it can come back or not fully treated.
