Pls help

Doctor,

Im 34 yrs old male i had a protected sex with a sex worker back in Sep2009. In June 2010 i developed a white spot on my penis and i had visited the doctor who said it was a wart and gave me some cream which eventully vanished.
In Sep 2010 i had fever and a sore thorat which i had for more than a month. I took a Elisa in SEP,OCT, Nov & Dec
which was all negative and also in Jan 2011 and in March 2001 which was again negative.I had also taken a pcr and western blot whose results were also negative. I have developed line marks ( strech marks -5-6)on my Penis foreskin for wch my doc said is a strech mark for which i shud not worry about. I had got a lymp node on the back of my neck which disappeared in two days. I used to smoke cigrattes a lot and now i have some white dots and grey patches on the inside of  my cheek .i have quit smoking since then almost a month now still the white patch doesnt seem to disappear am quite confused cos all the HIV results were negative but i get all my symptoms. Please help and advise!!!!
Thanks in Advance
trulli

Hi again,

I didn't know you had line marks in your mouth and penis.

If that's a concern talk to a dermatologist about that.

Thanks for the response.
I have had  sex with my wife protected (4-5 times) until June ie when noticed this white mark  and then i stopped having sex we stay in different cities so i meet her once in two or once in a month.
But wht about the line marks there are quite a few of them on the foreskin on my penis
and also the white marks on the inside of my mouth could this be something related to other STD for which i need to check.

Hi

Please read the HIV community fourms.  If you still have doubts post your question(s) on the HIV community forum.

For anyone else reading out there: here is another example of how condoms work.
(assuming they are used correctly as trulli_in did), Condoms are really really good at protecting you from HIV, chalmydia, gonorrhea and NGU.   So good that you shouldn't worry about these when you use a condom.

They aren't as effective for HPV (the virus that causes warts).   But if you were to ask me, I don't think  trulli_in caught HPV/warts from the encounter he had in Sept 2009, but elsewhere.
