Unnecessary unpleasant questions? Wow - sometimes these happen in relationships, and it can't be avoided.
Its up to you. Has he not known about this the whole time? If he has, then I can't imagine why you wouldn't tell him that you might have had a false positive, but are waiting for the results.
Are you afraid of him? If you are, then you might wait to tell him, but you should then also explore why you are staying with a man you are afraid of.
If your test comes back positive, he will need to know so he can get treated. He doesn't need to retest right now, but he might want to know what's happening. What would you want to know if your bf were the one going through this?

Thank you so much for your prompt response.
I've already submitted a urine test which will come out in a couple of days.
Is it necessary to have my bf tested? My doctor suggested that maybe I shouldn't mention it to my bf since his blood test didn't show any sign of any infection so asking him to test may generate unnecessary unpleasant questions.
A blood test isn't the most accurate way of determining a chlamydia infection. You should both be urine tested or swabbed.
Its possible either of you had a false positive or negative test.
You can either retest if you haven't taken the meds yet, or just treat as if you have it. Your bf should also be treated in that case.
I might go ahead and treat just in case, especially since you are trying to have a baby.
