I took tests for gonorrhea and was tested both negative and positive?

I took two swab tests for gonorrhea (oral and rectal) and my rectal results came out negative whereas my oral results came out positive. I took treatment already (I still need to check up if I'm still positive or not), but I find it weird how one part of the body isn't affected while one is. Is this possible?

Side note: I'm not too sure if this is a symptom but I have these raised dark-pink-bumps on the back of my throat. They don't hurt, itch, or bother me at all. I didn't notice these until I got the call that I tested positive. They haven't went down since the treatment which I find odd.

Hi yes its possible to get in in one area and not the other just depends on the tissue  its infecting. and raisd bumps could be an inflamation from the infection.
