Protected Sex?

Dear Doctors, I had a sex with a sex worker three days ago.  During the course, no oral, no anal, I had only vaginal sex with her by using a condom.  The codom was not broken, nor slipping off.   Am I at risk of an AIDS infection or other STDs?

My wife is now pregnant for more than 9 months and we did not have any sex during this period.  That’s why I can’t help having sex…. My baby is scheduled to be born in the coming three weeks.  Really sorry for what I did and very nervous to face to my wife the new baby… Can I touch them? I see the window period is 6+ weeks for AIDS or syphilis, and some other STDs….  Can someone help advice?

Hi, protected vaginal sex is not a risk for hiv but is a risk for syphilis, herpes and hpv.
test at the correct window period for you wifes protection:
1. herpes 3 months
2. syphilis  6 weeks
3. there is no test for hpv for men.
