Re non specific urethritis

Hello Doctor

I find myself in a spot of bother right now, since ive been experiencing some burning and stinging sensations in and around my penis/genital are, which has infact resurfaced 3 weeks after being treated for a NSU at a GUM clinic.(Dean street, soho)
At the time of visiting i was having very similar symptoms but to a worse degree than now: where it really stung to pee,im not experiencing that now. But the old fella was very sore as it is now. This occured  2 or 3 days after visiting a sex worker. The doctor at the clinic prescribed a single dose of azithromycin (250mg). Whilst there i was also tested for chlamydia and gonorreah by way of a urine and swab analysis. They did find some pus cells in my urine (if that's relevant?)
So to summarize, around mid July i visited a sex worker, whwere i recived oral sex , i recall her applying some sort of anti-bacterial wipe to my penis. After taking the antio-bios i was symptom free for a good couple of weeks, but in the last week, particulariley these last couple of days my symptoms have returned. I also have some itchiness in nmy back passage and sore eyes but i have'nt been sleeping welland this isn't t a new for me.
I intend to revisit the clinic , but would like your profesional opinion. Do you think this sounds like a case of re-infection, or is this usual in a case of nsu , to experience this degree of irritation and discomfit this long afterwards?.
Owing to my anxiety i have ben trawling the internet looking for answers, and found reids or ryhyss syndrome which is a rare complication of this. Im sure my symptoms don't fit this but my worry and anxiety has gone into free-fall mode!
From a born worrier, please help!
Any advice will be warmly and gratefully received.
Thankyou

MedHelp's expert forums all have been closed for over a month for some sort of "required review". We're all waiting and hoping for them to be resumed one of these days.

Thank you so much  for responding so quickly. Yes i will go to my local clinic on Monday to get some resolution.
I did want to post this one to one of the online doc's but the forums apparently not taking new questions at present. this is the first time i've actively used this site, do the doctor forums free up quite quickly, or is it being a Saturday know one wants to do any work!?
thanks again

This is a community forum, no doctors, just interested lay persons, some of whom have worked in STD/GUM clinics. But even if true professional advice were available, yours sounds like a potentially complex issue that needs in-person care. I'll just say that NGU (same as NSU) often recurs and needs additional treatment, sometimes with a different antibiotic. Usually this is harmless and not a big deal.
