Reaction to Condom or STD?

I am a 25 yr old male.
2 weeks ago I slept with a female my age.
I used a trojan extended condom that a friend had given me to try (which is lined with a numbing agent called benzocaine).  Because I had been drinking prior to the encounter, the numbing agent made my penis totally flaccid.
I took the condom off and she persuaded me to continue unprotected.

3 days after the encounter I started to have some burning in my urethra.  It didn't sting when I urinated, but more so just burned for a few minutes after urination.  I was nervous so I went to see a urologist.  The doctor took a sample of my urine and looked at it under a microscope.  He told me there was no discharge and that I shouldn't worry about it.
He gave me a pill called cystex, that he said would soothe the pain.

A week later I still felt some discomfort in my urethra as well as some itching in my genitals.  I also felt some cramps in my pelvic area above my genitals.  Also I started having a lot of gas with the cramps.

I went to my usual doctor (different than the urologist) to see if he had a different diagnosis.  He said that the gas was unrelated and that the urethra discomfort could be many different things.  I told him that I was freaking out because I thought I might have genital herpes.
He said that it might just be a reaction from the numbing agent inside of the condom.
He prescribed me a weeks worth of antibiotic (doxycycline) and told me that I should come back in 4 weeks.

It is now 1 week after my last doctor visit (2 weeks and 1 day after the encounter)
I am still feeling the discomfort (burning) in my urethra and have still had extreme gas and occasional cramping.
I find myself constantly itching around my penis, testicals, and anus.
I have yet to have fever, discharge, or genital lesions.

Would a reaction to benzocaine last this long?
Or do I have an STD that is still remaining dormant?

PLEASE HELP!  Thanks

I cannot tell if I am being paranoid, or if there is a chance that I have genital

Hi Vance I'm not trying to mislead anyone you said to be mindful of my posts. I am not telling anyone to take medication. I'm speaking out because of the symptoms that this individual was experiencing. The discomfort with redness itching in the genitals and the anal area these kinds of symptoms relates to an std from my understanding and he did take the condom of read the post again Vance I'm not trying to jump to the conclusion but how does it sound to you. I'm just giving information to the best of my knowledge.

Let me add that I havn't had sex for 5 months prior to this incident and it was for a long time with one partner.  I am almost positive that I was clean prior to this most recent encounter.

Vance, I have been not able to sleep thinking that this is HSV2, can you tell me what symptom is absent that makes you so sure?

Thanks again

This is 2 posts when you talk about HSV2, you going in the wrong direction with this advise about HSV2. Nothing in his post has anything to do with HSV2. Now I always encourage people to help out and post but please be mindful of your advice and have knowledge in order to give proper advice.

it pretty much sounds like an STD to me the reason why is because you aare having symptoms related to an std. I would recommend that you see your doctor to test for HSV2 because that is what it sounds like. You could of contracted the virus a while ago and know your having symptoms or something could of triggered you symptoms for example sex is a trigger for outbreaks.

I can't say if a reaction would last this long.
STD's are never dormant. I would test for gonorrhea and chlamydia but see nothing that would indicate a STD at this point.
