Reassurance

Hi.I have posted this similar thread in the forum of herpes. But after a HSV type 2 and gotten a negative result, I am convinced that I did not get gential herpes. Now, I would like to confirm whether I got a chance to be infected from other STDs. Up to date (day 54), I did not experience flu-like symptoms (fever, headache, sore throat, muscle ache and fatigue). Also have no burning sensation when urinate and no unusual discharge. All I had was dry, flaky, scaling and white patches from day 2-25. Small painful red patches did appeared about 5 to 6 times just within these 25 days.

On day 25-30, I am experiencing super big scaly red patches on my inner tight. On these red patches, I feel NOTHING but itchy only. No blisters or cuts have been found. Small red patches did spread to my shaft of penis, but it do not even feel itchy. I went to several doctors to consult about the red patches and all of them diagnosed it as fungal infection. But, I did not told them about the oral sex that I had. If I were to tell them that, would they had diagnosed a different outcome? Visually, would fungal infection and STDs differ much? I did was 1x unprotected receiving oral. What's are the odd of having STDs such as chlamydia, syphilis and gonorrhoea.

Thanks vance! Can I assume that I am fine and able to move on in life? I have read that if one contacted STDs, it will be obvious and one will definitely know it. I am certain that apart from the symptoms I mentioned, there are no other symptoms. I do not want to go to the extend of testing as it will be expensive and bit too exaggerate for an unprotected receiving oral.

STD odds are low and symptoms don't make me think a STD.

Hi. Appreciate your sincere and quick response. Since most people have HSV 1, I see that there is no point to do a HSV type 1 testing. Even if I am HSV type 1, it will most probably be not from this encounter.

I have read from the net, none of the STDs will cause such symptoms that I have mentioned. The red patches do somehow like the link I have post below. Once I start taking the oral medicine from my doctor, the red patch cure within a week.

Always tell your doctor about your most recent sexual encounters in which your worried about. Hiding stuff from them makes it more difficult to give the best advice.

The testing time is highly opinionated all over the world, I was advised by my doctor to test for chlamydia and gonorrhea at 4 weeks and syphilis will require a 6 week minimum to give you a 100% conclusive result. Also a negative HSV2 from receipt of oral sex is all well and good but the one you should be concerned about contracting is HSV1, it lives in the mouth of almost everyone on this planet.
