bumps on throat

hello,
i am 18 years old gay male who has have several encounters between the last year. i had an std scare last year when i got sick. when i went to the doctor, i had strep throat.

fast forward to now, i have had one boyfriend and we engaged in oral sex and deep kissing. broke up with me a week after and then i started to feel a sore throat. two days after the sore throat went away and i got curious and found bumps on my oropharynx, accompanied by some coughing and me being flushed sometimes. i confronted my ex and he said he's clean and often gets tested.

i am just worried and i have a doctor's appointment in a week. just wanted to get another opinion on my situation.
is this another case of strep? is this throat cancer? is this some kind of std?
