Recurring symptoms with no results.

I slept with someone who I found out later got tested for Chlamydia. Since then, I've been tested twice with the q-tip thing they shove up there and once for something in my urine. All three tests have come back negative for both chlamydia and gonorrhea. Yet, I still have an itching sensation that occurs randomly in spots in my urethra. I have been given medication before just in case the tests were wrong and I have had four different sets. One 1 dose pill to treat Clamydia (not sure of the name), then two pills to take for seven days (got this treatment twice), then levaquin for 10 days, then clarithromycin or something of the sort for a 14 day period. Still, I have symptoms of itching. Not as much of the burning during urination and if anything there is only clear-ish discharge but I can't tell if that's from what I have.

I don't know - I can't answer that.  I can only offer suggestions.  They may not all apply to you.

Well I've had pop all my life, why would it be bothering me all the sudden. If this is the case, why did it show no improvement when I drank water a lot during the day?

If you were allergic to a drink or food, you'd have symptoms all over your body, or at least more widespread.  However, perhaps something you are eating or drinking is irritating your genital tract - alcohol, caffeine, spicy foods, soda, etc can all do that.

Okay well I checked into prostatitis and couldn't find anything about itching or suddun pains (while not urinating) but I didn't find some things related to prostatitis that had other symptoms similar to mine. It could just be coincidence as well. I'm going back to the urologist on tuesday and I'll ask him then about it. Another thing came to me, is it possible that it could be I'm allergic to something I've been eating or drinking and that's causing this? Or would that cause far more symptoms than just what I have?

Well my symptoms aren't totally persistent. It happens now and then daily. I haven't every gone a whole day without symptoms but it's not as often as when I had chlamydia the first time.

In theory, it could, but herpes symptoms don't persist - they come and go.  You'd have a period of having symptoms, and then no symptoms for awhile, then it would come back.

One more question. The first doctor I saw said that it could be herpes if the symptoms persisted. Is this true? I know it's known to be a-symptomatic sometimes. But I haven't had any lesions that I've noticed. So can it cause itching and not appear as lesions?

Also, anyone else have any input on the matter?

Yes, it could.  If you google it, you can find out a ton more.

Does that bring about the same kinds of symptoms of chlamydia? I've had chlamydia once before. This occurrence happened about two months after I got rid of it the first time.

Well you could have prostatitis, and a prostate exam could help determine that.

I didn't figure it was chlamydia anymore I was more worried about it being some stronger form of gonorrhea that won't go away. I do drink a lot of caffeine/soda now but there was a point when a doctor told me to drink only water and lots of it. I had about three liters of water a day for about two weeks with not much improvement. As far as I know I'm well hydrated, not with pure water though. I have not had a prostate exam, I didn't know it could help with anything I have.

You couldn't possibly have chlamydia after two negative tests and enough meds to cure it several times over.

I'm not saying something isn't wrong - but it isn't chlamydia.  Perhaps its just irritation - do you drink a lot of caffeine, soda or alcohol?  All are irritating to the bladder and urethra.  Are you well hydrated?

Have you had a prostate exam?
