I don't see how it could be irritation. Irritation isn't recurring.
I dunno about the original poster, but I was tested for chlamydia, gonorhea and syphilis (all negative).
I go for my 12-week HIV test on Monday.
I haven't seen a doctor for this, but as I said I mentioned this to my urologist when I saw him for the yeast infection and he said not to worry about it. Something about how "discoloration of the glans penis is not serious" if you don't have pain or itching.
Have either of you seen a doctor? You both should.
Aj
it might be a bacterial infection or irritation.

Forgot to mention, the red dots I have are also painless and do not itch.
I think I have the same thing.
They are tiny red dots, the size of a needle-tip, clustered close together. From afar, the red dots look like a small red rash on the glans penis (penis tip).
They appear in different areas, but always on the glans penis. Usually they last 2-3 days then disappear.
The "outbreaks" tend to happen about 2-3 weeks apart. I never noticed them before a risky sexual encounter about 3 months ago.
During that encounter, I had about 2 minutes of unprotected anal sex with a male.
A month later, I started feeling an itch inside my urethra during morning urine and after ejaculation. I was treated for penile yeast with pills, the itching went away. But the red dots come and go, seemingly unrelated to the penile yeast (candida).
I have mentioned the dots to my urologist and primary care doctor, each time by the time I saw them the dots were gone. Both of them say it's "probably nothing to worry about" but I don't feel this is normal.
Anyone have any thoughts?
