Red, itchyness on penis

Well, first off, me and my girlfriend were both virgins and have never slept with anybody else. I do have cold sores frequently. She took antibiotics for a skin reaction/infection for her back and the doctor told us this caused her a yeast infection, and we had sex just before it got serious. Now I have small, red, itchy bumps on the shaft of my penis. There is 2 clusters, they are quite small, and got scabs on them after a lot of itching and masturbation. They aren't sore, and the doctor said they MIGHT be cold sores (Type 1), but doesn't think they are because there is no soreness and they don't have the extreme redness of cold sores. What could they be? She sent a swab in for testing but I'm freaking out.

I'd think its yeast.  Did you tell your doctor that your gf had yeast?
