How soon is too soon?

Yesterday I had sex with someone and today they told me they had gonorrhea. How soon can I go get tested for it to be accurate?

It's only my advice and opinion.  The rates are about 70-90% male to female and 20-30% female to male, so make of that what you will.  I suppose if the poster is male, maybe I would not get treated and just get tested first.  But if the poster is female, I would.  In any event, people are typically treated before the test results come back because of the likelihood of infection.  If you'd rather wait, fine by me.

Don't buy this "you already have it."  Not every encounter results in infection.  Three days woudl be good-then if your provider wants to start you on an antibiotic even before the results he might, but not becasue you have it, but to get them working right away.  If you don't have symptoms yet, that is a good sign and a reson not to rush to treatment.

I agree with MissLissa, however I will add that the transmission rates of gonorrhea are so high, I would just get treatment immediately.  Most likely, you have it already.
