STD or nothing?

I went to my doctor, yesterday. I was worried about having genital herpes. He did a thurough examination, and told me he didn't seen any signs of rash ect. I recieved unprotected fellatio 7 days prior to the visit. My doc told me that the redness seems mechanical. She was too rough, or you keep self examining yourself.. That could cause irritation. I had one experience with clear discharge 3 days after the sex, but I was thinking about sex at the time in a light sleep. I'm pretty sure it was pre-ejaculation. My doc perscribed me with Ciprofloxacin and Doxycycline. Last night I think the medication may have givin me slight anxiety. The whole time worrying about herpes, I've been feeling the symptoms about 3 hours of taking the antibiotics. I read that Ciprofloxacin could cause anxiety. The medications have been making urinate and giving me diarea. Would you say the medication is causing these symptoms, or atleast causing me to think I have these symptoms? Is it normal to have the urge to use the bathroom freaquently after taking them? Is the medicine causing my pains in my stomach and pelvic area? Perhapse, I'm just overreacting due to never experiencing these symptoms, and it's just UTI or my own mind?

They gave me to antibiotic because my doc thought it was something to do with my prostate. I talked to him today. I'm tested negative for everything! My doc said it was due to anxiety from the embrasion on urethra. I'm going to florida to see me wife. She's visiting family.. *****, because when I see her I can't "play" with her. Although, this is a good lesson learned. I will never cheat on my wife again! Don't fix what aint broke... The doc told me the injury will take anywhere from 1-3 weeks to heal completly. He also said don't have sex the day you feel better. give it a day or too more for safe messures. I hope he's right on the time-line. I also hope this injury doesn't effect me thoughout my life time.. Being sensitive, and minor touch can reinjury my urethra. I just wanted to say. thank you to all the people who helped me, gave me advice ect. I truly learned me lesson.

so they prescribed the antibiotics because you had + test results for a std or they tested you for std's and gave you the antibiotics to take just in case you are positive?

Most of what you have described sounds more like anxiety than anything.  Give your doctor a call monday morning and discuss everything that is going on with them then. Your std results should be back by then if they aren't already and perhaps hearing their results will help calm your nerves a bit.

I was tested and treated. I'm strating to feel less anxiety about the whole ordeal. I've noticed I start getting joint pains and not lymphnode pains. I get very warm, and stomach after taking the medication. within 2 hours of taken them. About 5 hours after the side effects seem to substide alot. Then act up after taking them again. It has to be my nerves. I have realized that I'm just letting my head get to me. This is been the 1st day I havent worried about anything and I havent felt any abmornal feelings. I'm going to continue to keep myself occupied to keep my mind off of stuff.

The meds can cause those symptoms, and I see nothing to suggest that you have herpes.

Both cipro and doxy can have strong stomach side effects.  Were you tested or just treated?

I'd call your doctor and let her know about about the side effects you are having.
