STD risk from limited exposure?

Last week, I had an encounter with a woman who works at a strip club. I got the sense she had encounters like ours frequently, and I'm worried about a brief moment of exposure that may have put me at greater risk I intended.

During our encounter, there was a heated moment when she caught me off guard, and we had roughly 5 seconds of full penetration without protection before I was able to separate from her and obtain a condom. The encounter continued another 10 minutes or so with protection, and maybe five minutes after that I had the opportunity to clean myself with soap and water (I don't believe it was antibacterial).

I understand in some cases length of time and degree of vigor play major roles in assessing risk, but I'm not certain exactly how much they matter and for what types of STDs this is more or less true. I'm curious what my risk level is here, and what type of broad spectrum antibiotic is most effective at preventing complications. I was thinking it would be best to take one as a precaution.

Thank you in advance for your insights. This was not my finest moment (hindsight and sobriety give us great perspective), and I'm hoping to minimize any fallout from my poor judgment.

Some Dr's will treat if you have symptoms, most will not give you anything for the "just in case". Because bodies and STD's build up a resistance to medication so taking something just in case is not in interest of science and controling STD's.

I would not be worried.

Thank you Vance. That position on medications is very fair, and I can research this better on my own. Regardless, I'll need a prescription. So it will be a doctor who decides if precautionary medication is appropriate, and I accept that your position is probably shared by the greater medical community.

I appreciate your response regarding my exposure time as well. I will be worried until I get a clean bill of health. I guess I'm wondering just how worried I should be. If you or anyone have more to say on the matter, I'll gladly accept more advice. Thank you again.

1. We don't give medication advice
2. We don't recommend taking medication just as a "just in case"

You had a risk and that is how I qualify it as, but being only 5 seconds I doubt that you would get a STD from that time frameIf you wish to test here are the time frames:
Gonorrhea and Chalmydia-1 week
Syphilis-6 weeks
Herpes and HIV-3 months
