stds transfered via receiving oral sex.

8 days ago I received unprotected oral sex from a person I did not know, afterwards my urethra appeared to be infected with something my doctor said looked like it may be 'fungal.' About four days after the sexual encounter I noticed a very faint pinkish red spot on the underside of my foreskin and several tiny similarly colored dots (the size of pinpricks) on the head of my penis, and after bathing they disappeared. None of the colored areas were raised or uncomfortable. There's been no discharge, no burning sensation, and no real itchiness. No other signs of discomfort. I also developed a severe bronchitis around the same time but I'm not certain if it's related.

It is going to take around 10 days for my test results to come back - my doctor does not seem terribly concerned, but I know sometimes these things can be asymptomatic - does anyone have any ideas about what I may or may not have? I'm not even sure of which diseases I could have gotten via oral sex, whether they would all be serious or whether it could just be something benign.

Any assistance would be appreciated, thank you.

fungal infections are pretty common , even in folks who aren't sexually active.  from oral sex, the "normal" mouth flora, isn't so normal when it's introduced to the genital area so the normal fungus in the mouth, sometimes causes issues in the genital area.

I had a bit of concern because I read that chlamydia symptoms can come and go.

Are fungal infections easily transferred through vaginal intercourse? Do women typically suffer discomfort/yeast infection like discharge/cramping/fever as a result?

no std rash goes away after bathing.

odds are this was either irritation or a fungal infection. no real reason to think it's a std from receiving oral sex.

oral sex is overall very low risk for std's.  chlamydia and gonorrhea from oral sex is an even lower risk yet. ngu, prostatitis and herpes are the biggest risks overall and none of your symptoms sound like them at all.

we recommend protected oral sex because it's about as close to 100% safe as it gets as well as it saves you testing and worrying :)

Some of the pictures I have seen of gonorrhea looked similar to the bigger pink spot I had, only gonorrhea rash appears to have a much darker shade of red in color and it looks like it comes with some noticeable discharge. After viewing some pictures of chlamydia I came across one that actually looked strikingly similar to the coloration of rash I experienced.

Some sources I have found state that chlamydia is transmittable via oral and others say that it is not, so I have been a little bit confused. I haven't been able to find any especially detailed information on the web (much of it is vaguely put), and experts whom I ask the opinion of don't divulge too terribly much information.

I know I will get my results and find out for certain, soon, but I feel the need to self-diagnose, educate myself, and try to assuage my fears in the meantime.

Oral sex is low risk and nothing you have described makes me think you have a STD.
