STDs from kissing with a cut in the mouth

I had oral surgery about a week ago.  The cuts in my mouth have been healing, but are not fully healed.  They are no longer bleeding.  This evening I made out with a sex worker.  Is there any chance of contracting an STD?

Also, I'd like to reiterate the general thanks you get on this message board.  The service you provide is invaluable and much appreciate.

I didn't say you couldn't get stds in your mouth - I said they aren't spread by kissing.

Yes you can get STD's from kissing especially if you have cuts in your mouth.  Whenever you have irritations in the skin that could allow any amount of bacteria or virus to penetrate through you enable any bacteria or virus entrance into your body. This is all a matter of which should be discussed with a doctor.

No, kissing doesn't spread stds.

Keep your eyes in this though - there are other mouth bacteria that can be transmitted and might cause an infection.
