STI's symptoms within 36 hours after unprotected sex

Hi guys,

On 20th May, I kissed one girl and partially enter without a condom, but I immediately stopped 2 seconds later as i realized i was not supposed to do it. But I got intense headaches and tonsillitis within 24 hours after the exposure, lasting 2 weeks till recovery.

On 8th August, i had unprotected sex with a girl. She got similar fever-like symptoms on the morning of the second day. Then she went to doctor's , and the doctor told her it was tonsillitis.

May I ask whether this is related to stis or even HIV?

Thank you so much

No STD, including HIV, would give you symptoms that quickly after exposure, and no STD, including HIV, gives you tonsillitis.

There are any number of viruses going around globally - covid is still very much a thing, as is RSV, adenovirus, enterovirus, the flu, and a number of others.

If you are concerned about STDs, go get tested. It's easy to do.
