negative results but still have symptoms

I appreciate any replies

male 35yrs

I have had symptoms since January of this year.  No real pain but discomfort.  symptoms:  stickyness in grion area, very minor amounts of clear sticky fluid mostly in mornings but discomort and fluid can be seen during day on some days.. not everyday.   minor redness at tip of penis 85% of the time but again no real pain.  unusal heat once and a while in groin area but not always.

chlamydia, gonherra test negative multiple times.  urine normal and blood normal.

since the symptoms showed up days after unprotected oral I feel it has to be a std but all test say otherwise.  It is not in my head and I know something is different with my grion area..  maybe it is non std but strange it occured right after unprotected oral.

any replies appreciated and no worries if not..

You're right, the urine tests would most likely show SOMETHING if you had prostatitis, but you might have the prostate exam done just to rule that out.

Have you been drinking plenty of water, and avoiding alcohol and caffeine in large amounts?  It sounds simplistic, but its something to try.

Other than that, I'm also at a loss.  Some discharge in the mornings is totally normal, but throughout the day is more suspicious.  Your testing being normal, though, would indicate no infection.

I'm sorry this has been so confusing.  I wish this were easier for some people.

You might try posting in urology and see if they have any ideas.

Aj,

sure that certainly could be it but the only thing strange is the urine and blood all checks out to the point where no infection seems apparent (would prostatis not show up in blood and urine samples?).  The doc said she expected white blood cells to be elevated for any infection but everything seems normal.  it is extremely frustrating to know something is wrong but nothing comes to point exactly what it is.   seems to me that regardless if it was an infection from some STD or some other event I should have abnormal urine and or blood if it is any infection or any of the several STD tests would have shown a positive if it was really a std.   I really wish this was all in my head (no pun intended) but I know for sure something isnt right.  maybe at the same time I had the unprotected oral I mysteriously gave myself a hernia or somethig which is causing this but I can tell you for sure the symptoms over the last 6+months really never change and if it was an injury I would expect differences.

it is very very frustrating that tests can't clearly state a problem.  all these false positives and negatives written about on this site just lead to more questions.

in the end maybe everything is fine and I just have to deal with this but it sure seems strange.

has anyone had similar issues and finally had a valid diganosis?

My doctor is a loss for words but I can tell she does belive and understand something is wrong.

Have you had a prostate exam?  You can have prostatitis without having an std.
