Sore Throat After Oral Sex

Ok so the other morning, I performed oral sex on a guy that Im currently seeing. I've known him for about 5 months now. He told me that Im the only person he has had sexual contact with in the past 3 months. I went to the clinic two weeks ago and I seem to be fine because the clinic has not contacted me and told me anything.Anyways It was my first time doing it so I didnt do it very long because I personally didnt like it. I dont remember any semen coming out so I dont think I could have gotten anything from that. I know I keep feeling like I had to spit while performing oral sex and after because I just think I didnt like the idea of something in my mouth. In the middle of the night I started to experience a sort of burning in my throat which I know to most likely be a sore throat. All I Know is that my mom & sister had been sick with a cold/flu for the past few weeks but they didnt have any symptoms of a sore throat but the next morning my little brother and I both had a sore throat. My brother's kind of went away but mines is really bothering me...I took some medicine like Nyqill & Dayqill but it only has worked a little bit. I just want to know if you can get symptoms of an STI in the same day that you perform oral sex? Do you think its just a sore throat that I could have caught from m family or could I possibly have an STI? I dont know how to tell my mom if I do because she just recently took me to the clinic and she doesnt know that I just performed oral sex the other day....and we dont have medical insurance so im kinda confused on what to do because I dont want to be paranoid, have my mom run me to the doctor and have nothing wrong with me so im kinda confused on what to do...Can I get little help please???

You can not have any symptoms the same day-most STD's of the throat are asymptomatic so you probably wouldn't have any symptoms.
I think you have a sore throat since it has been in and around your family.

Chances are you don't have anything. STD's are not transmitted well via oral sex. I bet your sore throat will go away and you will be fine. If you want you can go to the local health department and they can test you for free.

In the future any oral, vaginal or anal sex you have make sure the guy uses a condom. And you might want to ask your boyfriend to get tested.
