Sorry for the double post.
I don't understand how you can be so sure. In light of my symptoms and the posts on here that say that bi and gay men have gonorrhoea in their throats. From what I understand gonorrhoea almost always creates a discharge. I have not had one. But just wondered if the cipro or doxycycline could somehow prevent just the discharge from occurring. But still jbe burning when peeing.
How can you be so sure though? I don't understand. I have read many posts that say that many gay and bi men have it in their throats. Surely if I had oral performed on me by a gay or bi man then I was at risk????
Hello
You asked, "Would i have had discharge if i had got gonorrhea?"
ANSWER: but you did NOT get gonorrhea from the exposure you describe.
You asked, "wonder if that would have stopped the discharge occuring IF i had have got gonorrhea? "
ANSWER: but you did NOT get gonorrhea from the exposure you describe.
Finally, you said, "I am too scared to have sex with anyone else until i can put my mind to rest on this. "
Then don't have sex.
It just seems too much of a coincidence to me that my burning when peeing and painful ejaculation started about a week after the encounter. I have not noticed any discharge though.
Please just indulge me once more just to finally put my mind to rest on this then i will mention it no more. Would i have had discharge if i had got gonnorhea? I was taking cipro and doxycycline and wonder if that would have stopped the discharge occuring IF i had have got gonorrhea?
I am too scared to have sex with anyone else until i can put my mind to rest on this.
Thanks again.
you already have a history of prostatitis, odds are your symptoms are related to that. return to your urologist for further evaluation.
hand jobs , brief oral sex and wiping with the same tissue is NOT a risk for std's.
no, the tests aren't reliable after a week off of antibiotics. that said, YOU NEVER NEEDED ANY TESTING IN THE FIRST PLACE FROM THIS ENCOUNTER.

I got myself tested after laying off my antibiotics for a week. Tests came back negative. I still feel lousy. Painful ejaculation and burning when peeing also testicles painful. I am still not convinced I have not got an sti. Could the antibiotics I take for my prostatitis mask symptoms of gonnorea? Will The test I had be reliable after been off the antibiotics for a week?
Hello
You asked if you "really need to [wait] that long?" ... the answer is NO you don't.
That's because you DON"T NEED TESTING!
Its okay about your "head being a right mess" right now. So, it looks like a test will bring you peace of mind. Go and test, you'll see that you'll be alright.
I really appreciate your re assurances. It means a lot. But I don't feel too good. Slight burning when peeing. Aching testicles. I have been told that I need to wait 14 days from finishing my antibiotics that I was on before getting tested. Does it really need to be that long? I have no disharge at all. I have made a stupid mistake and just want to get my life back on track. I have read extensively on here that chlamidyia is not passed on by receiving oral. And that gonorrhoea is very rarely passed this way too. If I had gonorrhoea would I have a discharge and would my symptoms get worse if left untreated? Would the cipro and doxycycline have protected me from gonorrhoea and chlamidyia anyway? Sorry for going over it but my head is a right mess.
Hello
Please re-read my initial post: "You describe a NO risk encounter for all STDs."
Stop worrying, you should use your energy in other things.. .like good things in this world.
I am worried that "some of the bacterial ones" may have become resistant to the antibiotics that I take. Is that a realistic possibility. Also during the same encounter I had oral sex performed on me for about 10 to 20 seconds. Finally which of the bacterial ones would I be protected from and which ones not so.
Thanks again
Hi
You describe a NO risk encounter for all STDs.
You would be protected anyway for some of the bacterial ones.
