advice

Hi,

In late 2007 I had vaginal sex, using a condom, and recieved oral from a female escort. 34 days later I decided to test for HIV & STD's, all results came back all clear/negative. I went to my gum clinic for these tests so unsure wether it was a HIV antibody test or a HIV Duo test.

After reading up about HIV & STD's I became fully aware of the risks etc, therefore I always check condoms after sex to make sure its not broken etc.

In 2008 I had protected vaginal sex with maybe 4 or 5 more escorts, plus a couple of one night stands with girls I met in bars/clubs etc. In August 2008 I recieved oral without a condom so I tested for Chlamydia and gonorrhea one week later and results came back all clear.

Now, last Friday I had protected vaginal sex with a female escort but recieved oral without a condom. I've had no discharge or pain when urinating, should I still test for STD's though? Is it a good sign that I've had no symptoms of STD's?

Kind Regards

Because it is difficult to get an STD from unprotected oral, the risk is very low and most of the time men will show symptoms of Gonorrhea and NGU.

howcome the Dr's on the site do not recommend testing unless you have symptoms then?

Hi Vance, thanks for your help. Do you know if all STD's have symptoms or can they go unnoticed?

Oral sex is tough to get an STD from but possible. Chance you could get gonorrhea, NGU, Herpes and syphilis. The Dr's on this site do not recommend testing unless you have symptoms. Symptoms of gonorrhea and NGU would be discharge and/or burning while urinating. Those are the 2 most commonly aquired.

I would not worry too much, but if you get symptoms then make sure you test.
