Syphilis - reinfection

I had received an oral sex from a massage parlor employee in San Jose, CR last September. After returning to the Sates, I begun to worry.Infecting my girl is the last thing I 'll ever want to do.. I went to a clinic and got tested for about eight different stds. Everything except syphilis came back non reactive.
On syphilis, I had a non reactive RPR and a <1 titer, but a reactive TPPA. The test was done after 25 days of this engagement with the masseuse. Most important point here is that I was treated for a 2ndary syphilis 25 years ago.
My question is: Is this what we are seeing now? or is this a reinfection?
I have so far convinced my gf to engage in protected sex only, but this will not continue.
Do I need to do another test befor going back to unprotected sex?

Thanks for your response.
I was forced to use a different nickname because I forgot my password and my resent wasn't sent to me.  I will be soon going to the doctor as I have meet the max incubation period, It has been well over 90 days now. I still have no symptoms. Unfortunately, GracefromHPP: I don't know the numbers. The report I received just says Reactive.

you can get syphilis from oral sex but the risk of such is low.

do you know your exact tppa results?

It is possible it is a separate infection. Visit your doctor.
