A rash on her butt?

Hi, I am new here and am hopefully overreacting.

I have been sexually active with my girlfriend for a little over 2 years now. We have rarely used protection after the first couple of months of dating. A couple of months ago I found out that she had cheated on me with 2 other guys a total of 4 times overall. According to her, they used condoms every time.
Naturally I was upset and was going to break up with her. This put her in major distress. We did end up working things out, and have been still seeing each other. We have continued to be sexually active with no protection because I figured the damage had already been done if there was anything for me to be worried about.

During the time when she was cheating on me, she had also been diagnosed with some sort of thyroid condition. Im not sure if that has anything to do with the rest of this or not.

Just recently, she developed a whole bunch of little red bumps right where her lower buttcheek meets her upper thigh. They match the description of a herpes outbreak, but look more like pimples than blisters. She had it looked at, at the local clinic, but said that the physitians assistant that looked at it was very rude and non helpfull. She was told that it could be some sort of herpes, chicken pox, shingles, or a few other things that I may not recall. They claimed that it was too late to do any sort of test to see what they were. Those bumps have come and gone.

Now today we had sex and I noticed a second group of bumps on her other buttcheek up higher. They appear to be the same thing. I told her about it, but she doesnt appear to want to do anything about it. I think it is out of fear and denial. I have not noticed anything abnormal with her genitals, but havent looked them over that closly.

Also, just to complicate things a little more, I am fighting a major case of jock itch right now which I have let go for far too long. Could she have some sort of fungus infection caused by me instead?

Here is what I am wondering

1 Does this sound like herpes or something else?
2 I understand there are type 1 and 2 of the herpes virus, could this be type 2 even though its not showing up on her genitals
3 Do I need to worry about making skin to skin contact with these bumps with either my genitals or other body parts?
4 Could my jock itch have spread to her and be causing this?

Jock itch might have spread, try fungal cream if your not willing to go back to the doctor

You both need to continue with follow up to find out what is going on. if her regular doctor isn't helpful then perhaps it's time for a dermatologist.

Are you really that trusting or have you been tested for all std's since you found out about her indescretions?
