Syphilis tests while on antibiotics

Hello,

I wanted to know the impact of taking antibiotics ( Doxycycline for 12 days ) on a Syphilis test.
My local test center offers a combo antibody + VDRL/RPR and pretend they are good from 14days post exposure.( which surprised me)

I am now at 5 weeks post exposure and would like to leave this behind but I have been on 12 days of antibiotics

First, you had no risk for syphilis if your only risk was deep kissing. You've already had this explained. Since you had no risk, you do not need testing.

Antibiotic use can give you a false negative on a syphilis test, and it's generally recommended to wait 3 weeks after finishing your antibiotics to do any STD testing. However, again, you had no risk and do not need to test.
