Syphilis ?

Hi everyone,

I create a new post as my situation has evolved since the last one.

I went to Thailand and I had sex with 3 sex workers 3 weeks ago (Protected sex). As I mentioned, some weird things like eczema appeared on my leg 1 week after (close to my penis). I used an eczema cream and it has almost disappeared from the first leg but starts appearing on the other one at the same place...

Please check the picture attached:  http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/716/img1499fu.jpg/

I am scared about Syphilis... Any idea about what it is ? Eczema due to stress ? Syphilis ? An other disease ?

Thanks for your help

The help on here is not always helpful.

A CANKER is a sore or ulcer that occur in the soft tissues inside your mouth.

a CHANCRE is a round, usually painless, sore that is the first stage of a syphilis infection.

You do not have a Chancre or a Canker.

I saw a doctor last friday. I suspect it is a fungus infection (Tinea cruris). I got a cream we will see if it will become better or not...

Ok thank you so much. I am not sure about the meaning of canker as i am not a native english speaker. Is the first sympthom a single chancre located at one place only ?

I will get tested on Friday anyway to make sure that everything is ok :) !

Because you don't have 1 canker. That is syphilis 1 canker.

Thx again for your quick answer... I cannot get tested right now and I am really scared...

I have read that it is possible to get syphilis even in a case of protected sex... I am feeling really stupid right now because I was sure that protected sex = safe sex... :( In fact, it is not at all...

It's clearly written on some articles that if my legs had been in contact with a genital chancre, I have chances to get it :( ! And as my problem is located so close to my penis...

I don't really know what I have to think about it... How can you so sure that it's not syphilis ?

You get 1 canker in the area that is infected. That is it, just 1. The 2nd stage is a rash that can appear anywhere but most likely on the hands and feet.

You don't have syphilis from the above exposure.

I will check with a STD doctor on Friday afternoon (I am currently abroad). The problem has not totally disappeared from the first leg and continue on the second one. It's on my legs but very close to my sex... When I look at some pictures related to primary syphilis on Google, it's quite similar... :S ! I am so scared...

Potentially my legs may have been in contact with the girls' external vaginas (lips)...

When I check the pictures about syphilis on Google, I saw people with chancre everywhere. How is it possible to get it on the back for instance (Secondary step ?) ?

The problem is not really to get syphilis or not... because I can get cured easily in Singapore. But I have read that it is visible on my blood for a very long period and I am going to work in China from September... I need to get tested to get my work permit... The test would be probably positive even if I don't have syphilis anymore right ?

Because we don't diagnosis anyone and we don't want to look at any graphic pictures. Even if we do look at pictures nothing we can tell you about it, we are not Dr's.
