Taking Azithromycin for Chlamydia and Nonspecific urethritis

Last week I got a phone call from a girl that I spent a week with and yes we had sex a lot. She called me to tell me  that she had what she thought was a rash and got it tested and it turned out to be Chlamydia. Clearly I felt horrible and now I'm trying to figure this out.

A week and a half before I had sex with another girl and the next day I got what I thought was chaffing in my pelvic area but I'm realizing now that it wasn't. Other then that I did not have any other symptoms.

I did my research and found that a 1G single dose of Azythromycin is the best way to treat it.  As I was doing my research I learned about Nonspecific Urethritis and this I definitely feel that I have because I have had itching and a need to urinate. If I have to pee even a couple of drops I wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom.

I went out of the country last weeked and I picked up 14 pills of Azithromycin. My questions are is 1G of Azithromycin enough for both, someone suggested I do 1G single does and then on 500mg tab for two days?

Is that over kill ? I'd rather do more then less. Any thoughts would be welcome...
