Tests are confusing

About 9 weeks ago I had sex for about 1 minute if not less with a new person. no oral sex. Have never tested positive for any type of herpes. About 1 week later got a bunch of white blisters on the back of my throat it was very sore. My tongue also had pain like it had a cut on it and there were a couple of faint sores.  I went to my dr who insisted it was not herpes that it was just a virus. I went to my gyn about 2 weeks after  and i tested neg for the igg. I went back exactly 2 months after the encounter and tested pos for the igm @ about 1.52 Lab corps says 1.09 or higher is positive. Havent had sores any where else though had some irritation. lab corps only tests for the combo how can I find out if I actually have it and which one it is . This is very scary please let me know

The ONLY tests you should trust for a conclusive diagnosis of Herpes is the IgG tests.  There's one for each kind of Herpes (i.e., HSV1 and HSV2).  The IgM is not a reliable test.

IgM tests are notoriously inaccurate.  Since it sounds like a bit more than 2 months have passed, I'd wait another month and take a type specific IgG test to sort things out.

And your symptoms sound nothing like herpes, so my guess is the IgG will come back negative.
