Here is a summary of my situation. On the 28th March I had unprotected sex with a sex worker (I assumed unprotected as I do not remember much). Week later I noticed a small single reddish spot on my penis which did not disappear until now. Since then I started to worry about getting STD. The only symptoms I had was urge to urinate and discomfort/feeling of tightness in my groin when I sit down which lasted for a couple of weeks. After 4 weeks on the 27th April I tested for HIV (4th gen test), syphilis (VDRL), chlamydia trachomatis (igg and igm), herpes, hepatitis b and c. All tests negative. I visited the STD clinic on the same day and the doctor did the urethral swab where he did not notice anything. I repeated tests 2 weeks later on the 10th April. HIV (4th gen test), syphilis (VDRL), herpes, hepatitis b and c all negative however chlamydia trachomatis (immunofluorescence blood test igg and igm) was positive (for some reason I only received results of this test last week). 2 days before that test I did NAAT for Mycoplasma genitaliom, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Mycoplasma hominis, Ureaplasma urealyticum/Ureaplasma parvum, Trichomonas vaginalis and Chlamydia trachomatis and the result was negative. I visited the same doctor at the STD clinic on the 18th May who looked at the test results (except for chlamydia blood test) and confirmed that I was clear.
Now here is my confusion which test do I believe. I did not have any symptoms at all since about 3 weeks after having sex with that woman until the day when I received positive results of the chlamydia trachomatis blood test. Since I received these results I can feel slight discomfort in my groin but only when I sit down, for last 4 days I have been experiencing an urge to urinate which today is almost gone. There was no discharge from me penis at all or any other symptoms. I am away now and cannot check my test results with the doctor therefore I want to ask you guys for advice or thoughts. Many thanks.
