Treated for oral Gonorrhea & Chlamydia...now what is this?

3 Days ago, I received an IM Rocephin and some Oral Azithromycin.  The redness of my throat is responding nicely, receeding.  Never had any sore throat or discharge.  No sypmtoms other than the spreading redness from throat to palate.  Now as I am seeing the redness become less, I am seeing tons of tiny bumps on my throat and back of mouth.  They do not scrape off.  The are under the skin, raise up as bumps, and have a slight whitish color.  Is this a totally different infection now?  A virus...HIV?...HPV......or what?

Thanks for replying.
I went to my family dr's office yesterday (after I posted).  The verdict was "normal".
No pain or phlegm.  The redness is somewhat less today.  A RPR test for Syphilis was drawn too (just to reassure me).  I should hear the results on that sometime early next week.  Now, all I have to do is wait my time out for a repeat HIV test.  My doc's office is telling me 6 months...which seems like an eternity.  Again, thanks for responding...it is nice to know "someone" read my concerns and then replied back.

Hi,

I am sorry I can't help...... but you can go to an ENT doctor.....he might help and solve your problem.

Do you have phlegm? or a pian in the throat?

Thanks

The linear fashion regarding the bumps only apply to my folds in my mouth...everywhere else, the spread of bumps is diffuse.

Just additional background:  My exposure was May 11th (giving oral sex to a male, first time), went to an Urgicare doc twice (May 15th and 23rd) who just looked at my throat grow redder and redder and did not treat, went to my family doc's office on May 27th and was treated as described by my first post above...and everything else follows as I previously mentioned (now day 3 today).

After reviewing DR HHH post on http://www.medhelp.org/forums/STD/messages/1855.html

I wonder, are what I describe above what he may be referring to.  I quote him: "Persisting bumps might be prominent lymphoid tissue; our throats have many mini-lymph nodes just below the surface and they can become prominent with infections."

Again, my bumps are tiny, below the surface, and are at the back of my throat, on my throat folds, and my palate....lymph nodes?..even on the palate?

Sorry to obsessive...but just trying to understand.

And again, since now is day 3 post Rocephin and Azithromycin, the redness/petechia on my palate and redness of my throat is no longer flaming as it was, looking calmer, but still red.  Again, no pain, no fever, no swollen lymph nodes, no sore throats, no malaise, no nothing except a calmer redness and now these painless tiny bumps from throat to palate.

Another closer look at my mouth, if I do not shine a light directly on my palate (but at the back of my throat), under the indirect light, I also notice diffuse bumping all over my palate.  Shining a direct light on my palate, I really can't see them, but with indirect light....the bumping is definately present.  The bumps are not tender at all.  I made a couple posts regarding a friend who had unprotected oral sex....out of shame...but now in all honesty....I will come forward and report that it was me.  My thinking now is that it is virus...but what type?   Or is it possibly a different type of bacteria not treatable with Rocephin and Azithromycin?  I feel so low right now.  My luck, I have HIV from a stupid act on my part.

Regarding the bumps again....they are only "slightly" whitish against the redness of my mucosa.  They light up more when I shine a light in my mouth...otherwise, with normal looking color mucosa, they blend in more in color, but the bumps still remain somewhat visible.  No major pattern of clustering (like grapes), other than it is diffusely spread and may at times appear as if in linear fashion .   .    .  .     .       .
