Trichomonasis or yeast infection

Hi, I'm concerned because since a few days back I have a burning sensation and itching in my vulva and perineum. I had unprotected sex a week and a half ago so I think it might be trichomonasis, but maybe it's just a yeast infection. I don't have any discharge or smell, just the burning sensation. I began using ovules that have metrodinazole but also fungal medication, and after 2 days I feel much better. Would trichomonasis get better just by using ovules or does it sound like a yeast infection? I don't have money to go to a gynecologist, so I'm asking here. If it does sound like trichomonasis I will have to go to the doctor and get antibiotics. Thanks in advance for the answers!

As you had an unprotected sexual encounter, it's important to let you know, whether you are having symptoms or not, all the STDs you have been exposed to. If it's trichomonasis or a simple yeast infection, they can be treated, but it would be also necessary to test as follows:

-3 weeks after the encounter, test for gonorrhea and chlamydia.
-6 weeks after the encounter, test for syphilis.
-3 months after the encounter, test for herpes.
-Regarding HIV, if you go for a duo/combo ag/ab test, it will be accurate 28 days after the encounter, but if you go for a normal antibodies test, it will be accurate 3 months after the encounter.

By the way, you shouldn't take any treatment without medical supervision.
