Kissing and STD risk

I have read previous posts and wanted to see if there has been any newer developments.  I kissed a lady (5 days ago) who later indicated that she was rather promiscuous. It was lip to lip kissing and nothing deeper.  I have read that although rare and unless a visible sore was present that syphilis, herpes and hepatitis B are possible STD's that can be acquired through kissing.   I have also read that if testing that should wait 6-8 weeks to assure less likelihood of false negative results.  I am a single parent with two young kids and want to make sure there is no risk to them let alone me from kissing.  Thank you
