Unprotected Oral Man to Man

It has been 23 days since my curiosity led me to make a stupid mistake outside my marriage. My wife has been unavailable for sex for several weeks because of her caring for a terminally ill relative, and my sex drive simply got out of control. Now my guilt and concern for my wife's safety is paramount.  I received unprotected oral sex and gave unprotected oral sex. The guy had some pre-*** present at first, but that seemed to disappear before I gave him about a minute of oral sex.

The guy said he has played with guys over time very safely and doesn't do risky behaviors like rimming or anal sex without protection. His statement was, "don't worry, I'm clean and I don't plan to start unsafe sex practices at this stage of my life."  He is 50 years old.

Testing seems difficult to accomplish without my wife seeing the credit card statement. Finding out would crush her since we have had 33 years of good marriage.

How important is it to be tested, and what is my risk?

Thanks for your help.

You were at risk to get gonnorhea, NGU, syphilis and herpes. Without symptoms you are pretty safe. The risk is low, but still a risk.

Forgot to mention in the above post that I do not have any symptoms after 23 days.

Thanks again.
