Unprotected oral sex and history of prostate pain

Hi,

I am a 36 yr old heterosexual male in a long term relationship. Over 3 weeks ago, at a massage parlour in Singapore I had unprotected oral sex performed on me for not more than 5 mins. I did not notice any lesions or rashes on her lips and mouth.

Since then I have had no symptoms of any STD, no unusual discharge from my penis and no lesions (I generally have a slight discharge on and off through the day right from puberty) I have had a history of prostate issues due to which I have a burning sensation while urinating or ejaculating.

About a week ago, the burning sensation seemed to increase with burning sensation at the tip of my penis. I went to see the doctor who did a dip stick test on my urine. He found some bacteria in it (his words). He prescribed a 5 day course of ciprofloxacin 500 mg to me. After the course was done, the burning feels back to normal.

My question is, should I still proceed with getting tested for STDs or would the antibiotics have cleared them up by now?

Thanks

Thanks. I tested myself for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea and Syphilis using the home test kits. All came negative. I will get myself tested for Herpes as well.

Thanks. I think I forgot to add earlier that from about a week or so, my penis is a lil sore only on the left side. I have checked carefully but there isn't anything visible there. Could it be prostate related or something else?

Hi, antibiotics would not prevent herpes which would be the more likely one from oral sex and i believe syphilis needs penicillan so test for both before being intimate with your wife.
