Non-Sexual Chlamydia Contraction

AuntieJessie and All, please help....

A close friend of mine and his wife have been in a 100% completely monogamous relationship, without condoms, for over 15 years. They have both tested positive for Chlamydia. No matter how improbable it is to contract Chlamydia outside of sexual relations, neither has ever been unfaithful, so that leaves the very rare and unlikely cause. They have been trying to narrow down even the rarest cause of how one of them contracted it and then passed it to the other. I know of one person who was born with it, a tumor in the eyelid from birth.  Does anyone know of any other cause?  Thank you very much!

Hi chlamydia is contracted from unprotected vaginal/anal sex and if a person did contract it a while back the bodies natural immune system would have cleard it up in a month or so. This is what happened before antibiotics were discovered. There are false positives but both being positive would most likely rule that out. How did they test positive for it?
