Vaginal DC after negative follow up G/C est results ???

Okay, maybe you all can help me out... Maybe not... I've posted here a few times lately over a bad experience on 10-01-13. I had a one time encounter with a guy I know... Unprotected, stupidly! Two days after encounter I was std tested, no symptoms, just nervous. I was treated with 1 gram of zithromax, 1 gram of rocephin IM, and was tested for HIV, HSV1&2, syphillis, mycoplasma genitalium, chlamydia, and gonhorrea. A week later my test results are back negative for everything except chlamydia. Immediately I went to another doctor and was place on doxycycline 100 mg twice a day. I wanted the doxy just as extra insurance since I'd already had the zithromax. Since then I've learned that I was tested entirely too early for HIV and HSV. My negative results show that my baseline was negative, however I am still awaiting my 12 week mark for follow up testing. I did take a Clearview Rapid HIV antibody test at 5 weeks and it was negative... Glimmer of hope... Anyway, here is the current predicament. I have this horrific continuous vaginal discharge and lower abdominal pain. No color, maybe eggshell at best. No odor. Just a thin eggshell colored, odorless discharge that burns really bad. This is not normal for me. I've seen two doctors and one out me on Flagyl 500 mg PO twice a day and Diflucan once daily for 7 days. It helped while I was on it but it comes right back when I stop. The other doctor put me on flagyl vaginal gel and another round of diflucan. That didn't work so he called in another oral prescription. Same as before. Helped while I was on it, back when I stop. I got scared and had a THIRD G/C done. Both negative once again. Idk what to do or who to talk to!!!!!! Whatever this is must stop. I can't function this way. It's horrible. Lesson learned, yes, but this has to stop. Any advice, guys?

I've seen some of your posts on here. You seem very knowledgeable. I'm also concerned, very concerned, about HIV and HSV. I read all year posts and honestly, some are horrifying. The encounter happened 10-01-13. It has been now 7 weeks and 3 days. I've noticed that Terri Warren, CRNP stands firm on her 16 week for the HSV. But certainly I think I'd have had symptoms by this point? Dr. Handsfield told me that my rapid antibody HIV test was conclusive at the 5 week mark when I took it. However, reading these stories... Wow. 20 years later showing up with HSV... CDC says HIV only conclusive at 12 weeks. Jesus, this has been terrible. "It'll never happen to me", right? Then I show up with chlamydia and immediately begin thinking I have everything else after vast amounts of research. When this is all said and done, I vow to answer at least one post per day on this sight just to help ease a mind. And will NEVER make this mistake again. Thanks for you time, Vance.

No that sounds like a good time frame.

Thanks do much for the quick reply! So helpful. I gave myself two weeks. Then went to a new MD. Do you think it would take longer than that?

It appears that you have been treated for BV and yeast as the Dr probably suspected that you have one or both based on symptoms and antibiotics taken.

Give yourself a couple of days to heal up and if you still are having issues, go back to your Dr for a full exam and further testing.
