can i get an std if he didn't *** in my mouth?

I gave head for to a guy who's sexual history i am not clear. Very stupid of me, i know, i am usually neurotic about knowing it. I know that he's kind of a man ***** and i still gave him head. He said he has no STDs, but i am not sure. He did not *** in my mouth, but i got a bit of a sore throat right after doing it and it didn't go away last night. I don't know whether im just getting sick or if he had some thing. What are the chances of me getting an STD giving head?

So 2 days?  That's on the early side, but gonorrhea might show up.

I'd still doubt this is gonorrhea though.  Most pharyngeal gonorrhea doesn't give you symptoms.  You really just need to follow up on this with your doctor.

Sorry, my mistake. I got the tests done on a Wednesday afternoon and it was a Monday night i had performed the act...can antibodies be produced within that window of time? or is the test still pretty accurate?

Yes, that's enough time, and I have no idea what you have.  We do have a good ear, nose and throat forum here.

what do you think the possibilities are? some say its probably tonsillitis, but isnt it too much of a coincidence that i got a sore throat right after? it was my first time giving fellatio. are the tests i did reliable though the symptoms are in the throat?

Oh good.  Since you still have this thing in your throat, its time to see a specialist.

I got a swab done on my throat testing for strep and yeast.
I got a blood test for syphilis - came out negative
Urine tests for chlamydia and gonnorhea - negative

Did you have oral tests for stds, or just genital ones?  Did you get tested for syphilis?

I doubt this is an std, but I don't think you'll rest until you get everything ruled out.  In the meantime, its time to see an ear, nose and throat specialist.

I got tested for syphilis, gonn. and chlamydia, all came out negative; the tests for strep and yeast also came out negative. however, i have developed a cyst-like bump on the corner by my tonsil. i have had a sore throat since i left his place. the bump does not hurt but i can feel it there. i am still worried as to what this is.

You wouldn't get any symptoms that fast.  It would take at least a couple of days - usually longer.

Chances are low, and the possibilities are gonorrhea and syphilis.  Both are less common than chlamydia, but its a risk.
