Viral infection from oral and kissing

Hi,

about 6 months ago I kissed and had unprotected oral sex with a female.  Around 5 days later I noticed a burning sensation on the tip of my penis accompanied by a sore throat with a bump inside my mouth.  The sore throat and bump in my mouth went away after a couple days, but the burning on my tip spread to burning and itching on my penis and testicles as well as burning and itching on my lips.  Everything subsided about 10-12 days later.  I tested negative for herpes 1 and 2 at 6 months after exposure and negative for HIV at 5 months after exposure.  Given my symptoms i thought i would definitely test positive for herpes 1 or 2.  Does anyone have an idea what I may have caught from this girl?

Did you just test or see a Dr for an exam?

At this point I see nothing that makes me think a STD. See your Dr.

Hi Vance,

My doc's don't know...Can you get a viral infection on your penis if it's not an STD?  I wouldn't so concerned, but I'm continuing to have health problems since this incident.

Yea, I mean I'm assuming it was viral due to the fact it cleared up on it's own.  The burning and itching certainly felt like how herpes infection is described, but testing was negative.  This is baffling to me...I have know clue what it could have been.  could it have been fungal? or bacterial?   Allergic reaction to her saliva?
