WHEN can I get tested for ..
OMG where do I begin I did something really stupid and had unprotected anal and oral with my ex boyfriend.I am a guy also. I was drunk and really regret this obviously. Not only do I have to worry about HIV, but now I have started having STD symptoms. I don't know when I should goto the clinic. My stool has been really foul and coming out in small amounts, I have horrible nausea and lack of appetite, my testicles feel numb, and I have a slight headache. It has been 5 days since the act. When can I go get tested/treated? Help I dont know what to do and I feel miserable. And please forgive me I didn't know where to post this.
Suit yourself. I'm just saying you won't get any results any faster than your doctor. They have to send your samples to lab just like your doctor. It's your choice.
Stomach bugs don't give you groin pains and testicle swelling. Also we have med-express here which is a lot cheaper than the regular ER.
Why are you going to create another HUGE unnecessary medical bill. Going to the ER is going to cost you at least $500 unless you have insurance. But all they are going to do is run the same tests and send you home. You will not find anything out right there.

So I went early this morning and got tested for Gonorrhea & Chlamydia. He said it was too early to test for Syphilis. He did a throat culture, anal swab, and urine test. The throat culture checked for Gonorrhea only. The anal swab for Gonorrhea only. And the urine test for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea. Was this enough testing? If I have Chlamydia will it be present in urine all the time? I call for my results on Wednesday morning. There were no visual signs of STDs so I was unable to get any kind of treatment even though I am telling him I had anal sex and my testicles and buttock are in PAIN. I'm thinking about going to the ER.

You can get tested for gonorrhea now. Go ahead and schedule an appointment to get tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea at the same time. Syphilis can be conclusive at 6 weeks, though it is not common in the US. HIV at 3 and 6 months. HSV1 & 2 at 4 months.
